The following list details available courses at the The Society for Research in Rehabilitation. Specialist Rehabilitation Medicine CourseApplication Deadline:01/03/2012 Thursday 1st March 2012 & Friiday 2nd March 2012 Royal Derby Hospital This two-day national course* is suitable for consultants, specialty registrars and other professionals involved in rehabilitation. Day 1:: Thursday 1stt March Achieving better outcomes in rehabilitation meetings: advanced skills for practitioners The emphasis of the day is in developing practical skills and understanding the theory behind these. This will include skills in running or participating in multidisciplinary meetings and in managing conflict in rehabilitation settings. Day 2:: Friiday 2nd March Neuroplasticity and rehabilitation The day will concentrate on recent scientific developments regarding plasticity, but will also have an emphasis on how these might be translated into rehabilitation practice. The seminars will include specific examples of research in the neuroscience of plasticity that have occurred over the last four years and an overview of mechanisms of plasticity.
