Summer 2012 SRR Summer 2012 Meeting Hosted by Dr David Punt from Leeds Metropolitan University 4th & 5th July 2012 Rose Bowl Conference Centre (Provisional Programme) SYMPOSIA From Sports Science to Rehabilitation: Experimental and Clinical Studies in Imagery Rehabilitation research is an interdisciplinary field of study. This symposium will feature presentations from speakers based in the disciplines of sports science and neuropsychology who have built on knowledge from these areas and applied them to challenges in rehabilitation. Taking the use of ‘imagery’ as its focus, the symposium will explore experimental and clinical studies from recent and on-going studies. Speakers Dr Paul Holmes, Institute for Performance Research, Manchester Metropolitan University Dr Magdalena Ietswaart, School of Psychology and Sport Sciences, Northumbria University On the Road: Exploring issues relating to Driving and Disability Returning to driving after injury or illness has been found to improve physical and mental health, along with enhancing quality of life. This symposium will explore some of the challenges that face patients and clinicians, and will also consider current technology and how this can enable driving in individuals with disabilities.
