Society for Research in Rehabilitation.Job: Programme Director - Learning Services Corporation Application Deadline: The Program Director at Learning Services is the “proprietor’ of the program and, as such, is principally responsible for the overall quality and success of the program. As “proprietor”, the Program Director must possess the leadership qualities necessary to create a program that engenders a sense of pride, belonging and community in its employees, families, customers and residents. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring that an alignment of expectations is clearly established between learning Services, its employees, its customers, and the professional community. The Program Director is the program based individual who is principally responsible for defining a vision for the program and overseeing the quality of the program’s clinical services and outcomes. Case Managers will report directly to the Program Director and all other clinical personnel will report to the Case Managers. All other program level employees will report to the Program Manager who is principally responsible for the day-to-day management of all program operating and administrative activities. The Program Director will be directly responsible for communicating with the program’s major referral sources and for screening and approving all admissions to the program. Course: 24th International Training Institute in Neurologic Music Therapy Application Deadline:07/05/2009 May 7th-9th 2009 3 Day Workshop The Institute of Neuropalliative Rehabilitation will be running a 3 day workshop in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) in May 2009 at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in Putney NMT Training is the only training of its kind in the world and training has not been held in Europe previously. The workshop is aimed at clinicians working in health and education with children and adults with disabilities stemming from neurological disease or trauma. It will cover advanced clinical training in using NMT to address communication, cognitive, sensory and physical functioning. Professionals who will benefit from this training include Music Therapists and other clinicians working in health care and rehabilitation, including Registered nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Medics, Speech and Language Therapists and therapy assistants across disciplines who have experience working in neuro-rehabilitation.
