Current Research Surveys

Subject - Clinicians are Required to participate in an anonymous online Survey on the Management of Hemiplegic Shoulder Pain

Dear Neuro Physiotherapist/ Occupational Therapist (Stroke Care)

Title: Management of shoulder pain in people with stroke: Online survey of current clinical practice in the UK

Hemiplegic Shoulder Pain (HSP) is a common problem on the affected side following a stroke and a well recognised cause of upper limb dysfunction. In the absence of specific recommendations from the National Clinical Guidelines for Stroke (2012), there is a need to explore how clinicians manage HSP. We therefore kindly request your participation in a short survey about current clinical practice for HSP.

We are conducting a research project at the University of the West of England (UWE) on patients with Hemiplegic Shoulder Pain (HSP). We enclose a small advertisement / information sheet about this study.  The study has been gained ethical approval from UWE Faculty Research Ethics Committee.

If you are interested in contributing, we would like to kindly request that you complete the short anonymous survey and should take up to 30 minutes to complete. If you are not personally interested in taking part, please feel free to distribute this information to a colleague who you think is most relevant.

The survey can be completed online via Qualtrics Survey Software. Please click the link to access the survey

Thank you for your kind consideration

Yours sincerely,
